Of Virtue Debut Music Video For “Thanks For Nothing”

Lansing, Michigan-based metalcore band Of Virtue have debuted their new music video recently. You can check out the video for their song “Thanks For Nothing” below. The song is from the band’s upcoming new album What Defines You which is due out on May 24th via Sharptone Records.

Vocalist Tyler Ennis commented:

‘Thanks For Nothing’ touches on the relationships and friendships that we put a lot of energy into and feel left empty in return because the other person gave us nothing positive to hold onto, not even effort. People we put our trust, time and even love into turn out not to be who we thought they were. It can really mess with your head and worse, make you feel worthless. ‘Thanks For Nothing’ is a general middle finger to those people.

UK rock band Holding Absence has shared their new music video recently. You can check out the video for their song “You Are Everything” below. The song is from the band’s upcoming self-titled debut album which is due out on March 8th via SharpTone Records.

Vocalist Lucas Woodland commented:

When we started this band, we began using the mantra ‘You Are Everything‘. It both reminded our awesome fans how important they are to this band, and how they are everything to us, but also felt like a message of hope and a reminder of how they should be everything to themselves.

Whilst writing the album we wanted to slip the lyric in somewhere and fortunately this song really lent itself to that. After a hugely successful tour supporting As It Is in December, we walked away with some great footage and memories. This video – coupled with the song and lyrics – is just a reminder to our fanbase how important they are to us!

The KOG boys and I are beyond excited to announce our signing to SharpTone Records. The roster is filled with so many of our close friends and so much talent, it is an honor to be put remotely in the same category as any of them. Along with the signing announcement we have dropped our brand new single ‘Bleach‘. Tracked, mixed, and mastered by myself, and co-written with a few close friends Daniel Goehring, Noel Torres, Stuart Richardson, and Mitchell Garrett.

The song is accompanied by my personal favorite music video from KOG to date, shot and edited by the legend Orie McGuinnes. We hope you are all as excited as we are for the future of KOG, the last few months we’ve had opportunities present themselves that we never thought possible, and are eternally grateful to anyone and anything that has helped us this far in our career.

Medusa is one of my personal favorites off of the EP. I really enjoy the easy listening of it all while it still manages to hit heavy where it needs to. The video is something in of itself, Vince (Lundi; Video Director) captured it perfectly and managed to match an aesthetic with an auditory vibe, which to me can be very tricky. Very excited for everyone to hear/see it!

Of Virtue Share New Song “Suffer,” Sign With Sharptone Records

Lansing, Michigan metalcore band Of Virtue have shared their new music video recently. You can check out the video for their song “Suffer” below. The song is the band’s first official release under the Sharptone Records banner whom they signed with recently.

Guitarist Damon Tate commented on the signing:

We are humbled and honored to be welcomed as a part of the SharpTone family. It is a dream come true for us to be on the same platform as many bands we look up to now and also some which we grew up listening to as well! We can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Tate then commented on the song:

We all have moments where we are grasping for straws, trying to make sense of the mess around us and just come up with nothing. ‘Suffer‘ was written from the perspective of someone who can’t seem to get out of their own head at times and is fed up with where their choices have led them.

The song also deals with the role religion plays into this search and how people can use or attempt to pacify themselves with religion instead of taking a hard look into themselves in order to figure out the root of the pain.
