Bravo Delta is a rock band based in Las Vegas, Nevada. The band have recently released their new album Unbreakable and is riding high on the success of the title track off the album. We recently sat down with frontman Brandon Davis to get the gist about the band’s new album, their writing process, and their live shows. Check it out below.
You were formed in 2011, give us a little background on how the band came to be.
I started performing as a solo acoustic artist under the stage name Bravo Delta in 2009. In 2010 I brought in Andy Ingraham (guitar) to help me mold it into a full band rock type thing. After a couple member changes, in 2014 we found Brian Scott (drums) and Roman (bass) in Las Vegas and the current lineup was set.
How did you come up with the name and does it have a significance on the music that you are playing?
As I was trying to come up with a stage name for me to perform under as a solo acoustic artist in 2009… I remembered back to a time in my childhood when some friends all had nicknames for their initials relating to the phonetic alphabet. Mine being “BD”, of course. I really liked it and decided to use it. Now, it has more of a meaning… we are 4 guys all working hard to achieve the same goal. We’re down in the trenches together, ya know? It’s a company, a family.
The band is based in Las Vegas, do you think the city influence your music?
Absolutely! Our album and title track Unbreakable was in some ways inspired by the strength and unity of this town. VEGASSTRONG is a real thing.
You released your new album “Unbreakable” at the beginning of February, tell us about the writing process for the album? Do you follow a formula when it comes to songwriting? If so, who usually comes up with what part?
It took us 3 years to finish this album. We hit a lot of roadblocks that kept us from focusing on it and getting it done. However, it turns out that it gave us more time to really refine things…get it exactly how we wanted it. We’re really proud of how it turned out.
Our process normally begins with Andy or I come up with an idea, somewhat molding it together…then we bring it to the other guys and we all mold it together. We’re a cohesive unit where everyone has input and creates their own parts.
What were the goals the band set out in writing the record? If so, do you think you have hit those goals?
To create something we were really proud of. To keep it honest, to be creative, and tell a story. We also wanted to keep it raw and organic, without the use of over production. Yeah I feel like we nailed it!
Your lyrics are usually socially aware, is that what the band has set out to do from the beginning? Or is it something coincidental?
Both. We want to create art that inspires, and has a place in this world. I’ve always had a tendency to lean towards more “thought-provoking”, and less “daddy issues” and “sex/drugs/rock & roll”.
You have shared the stage with some of the who’s who in rock, is there any band out there, dead or alive, that you would kill to play a show with?
I think someone legendary like Metallica or Dave Grohl would be so insane. I would probably go hard into fanboy mode.
Speaking of shows, what can fans who have not seen you live can expect from a Bravo Delta concert?
Passion and energy. I think sharing that experience, having a human connection in that moment during a show is pretty amazing. It’s the point of the whole thing in the first place.
Lastly, what can fans expect from the band this year and beyond?
We’re already booking tour dates to get out and promote the album. We also have 2-3 more videos coming out over the next 6-8 months. A second single pushing to radio at some point as well. Lots to be excited about!

Vocalist/guitarist Brandon Davis commented:
This new album and single is three years in the making and features the best material we’ve ever created. Being broken, disconnected, kicked to the ground…and still having the will to get up, fight, and learn from it is the spirit of Unbreakable. And I think you can feel that in the music, the artwork, and everything about this new album.
